G-Force 91 Wins Basketball Tour

The G-Force 91 club basketball team recently competed in the Prime Time Summer Hoops Tour, where it won first place in the Blue Division.

Players and coaches represent a variety of local schools in the area.

Team members include assistant Coach Dwayne Rosewell, Rose Whitehead of Grapevine High School, Mary Louise "ML" Morrison of Southlake Carroll High School, Kayle Lowery of Grapevine, Michelle Rosewell of Grapevine, Lauren Leet of Grapevine, head coach G.J. Hunter, Hannah Heath of L.D. Bell High School, Lyndsey Renta of Rockwall Heath High School and Samantha "Sammy" Galindo of Grapevine.

Mustangs Win Richland Tourney

The Northwest Alliance All-Star Mustangs won the Richland Youth Association All-Star Invitational Baseball tournament on June 21.

Teams from Southlake, Colleyville, North Richland Hills, Saginaw, Haltom City and Richland Hills competed in the 10U division tournament.

According to a news release, "The week-long tournament ended Saturday afternoon with the NW Alliance Mustangs defeating the Colleyville All-Star Cubs in the finals 15-9."

Team members include Cole Smith, Blake Ibarra, Austin Whitelock, Nathanial Polizzo, Brayden Funderburg, Cameron Moore, Matt Wilson, Matt Musgrove, Garrett Barnes, Blake Ross, Chance Cooper, Trace Spasic and Garrett Moltzan.

Sean LaCroix, Doug Barnes and Jeff Ross coach the Mustangs.

The Mustangs players are from the cities of Haslet, Justin, Rhome, Ponder and Northlake.

Colleyville Mustangs Having Strong Season

The Colleyville Mustangs 9U baseball team has had good showings in three recent tournaments, finishing in second place in the Super Series Little Heroes Tournament in Dallas on May 18, second in the Super Series 9U Tournament on June 8 and first place in the South Regionals Fletcher Baseball Tournament on June 23.

The team is now headed to a World Series competition that runs from July 5 – 12.

Team members include Alec Bradley, Payton Meadows, Matthew Horton, Gage Ott, Brandon Wilson, Joseph Huff, Chase Mason, Christian Johnson, Joseph Leal, Ryan Drake, Reese Whitlock, Zack Carnes and Ryan Parker.
