On Father’s Day, I was enjoying a bike ride along one of the trails of Grapevine Lake when I lost control of the bike and took a hard fall into the nearby brush.

What makes this story all the more upsetting is the inability of any official to sound comfortable with the result.

I believe that the decision to not award Anjali Datta the "Highest Ranking Graduate" honor is a disgrace and that those responsible for withholding this honor from her must be held accountable.

I know I’m of an older generation when I read about students cheating in AP courses with little consequence and drivers complaining about being greeted impolitely when breaking traffic laws.

Kudos to the Courier’s April 18, publication, highlighting environmental issues. For our world to be sustainable we need significant actions at the individual, business and government levels. Your articles touched on efforts at each.

Dear Editor:

A few days ago, my daughter and I were dining at Mimi’s Restaurant in Grapevine. Halfway through the meal, I started choking and my daughter immediately cried for assistance. Luckily, one of the managers, Charles Stewart, was nearby and successfully used the Heimlich maneuver on me, saving my life!

The DFW Tornados Soccer Club has been dragged into a classic no-win situation by the two residents over the “lighting dispute” at the Covenant Church fields.
