Grapevine Wineries Sponsor 'Hallo-Wine Tour’

Living Editor

Are you ready for Halloween?

Several wineries in Grapevine are set to make sure your spooky season gets off to a good start.

The wineries are sponsoring the "Hallo-Wine Trail," Sunday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The tour includes a stop at seven participating wineries, including La Buena Vida Vineyards and La Bodega Winery; Homestead Winery; Cross Timbers Winery; Farina’s Winery; Su Vino Winery; D’Vine Wine; and Inwood Estates Vineyards.

Tickets, $45 in advance and $50 at the door, are required for the tour.

A ticket entitles the bearer to a three-ounce taste at each of the seven participating wineries, a bottle of wine, a large wine glass and food samples, according to a news release from the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Musical entertainment will also be provided at each winery, said Lisa McCowan, media relations manager at GC&VB.

To add to the festivities, a "murder mystery" is also scheduled. Clues may be found at each of the wineries.

"Transportation is not available," said McCowan in a news release, "so be sure to designate a driver."

Will call tickets may be picked up on Saturday, Oct. 18 at La Buena Vida Vineyards, 416 E. College St., Grapevine.

Advance tickets are available at www.suvinowinery.com or call 817-481-WINE.
