Gas Coalition Sponsors GRACE Benefit

Some of those who are receiving natural gas lease payments are giving back to the community.

The 360 Northwest Coalition, a group of residential and commercial property owners in Grapevine and Euless, will have a fundraiser for Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange (GRACE) and The Freestone Project in Euless.

The event will take place 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at Delaney Vineyards and Winery, 2000 Champagne Blvd. in Grapevine. The event will feature wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres, silent auctions, raffles and door prizes.

The 360 Northwest Coalition includes an area with about 3,400 properties and 1,500 acres at the northwest end of Texas 360 at Texas 121.

The group announced an agreement with Chesapeake Energy in July on a mineral lease that pays a bonus of $23,500 per acre. The fundraiser idea came about in August when property owners within the coalition started to receive bonus checks.

Tickets to the charity event are $45 without wine tasting and $50 with wine tasting.
